Sheryl Swoopes, is a Gay.

1-1-1 last week takes the season total to 15-10-1 ATS, not too bad. Today, here is what we like:

CINCY -9 over green bay
DENVER -31/2 over philly
NYG -2 over washington

Monday night special: PITTSBURGH -91/2 over baltimore.

New Toys

Within a weeks time I'm down about $220.00 playing poker. I thought it was a great idea to play some intoxicated Pot Limit Omaha the other night and lost a hundo in about 30 minutes. I also lost my ass at the season opener of the get-smashed-on-all-types-of-unhealthy-stubstances-dealer-choice-game I play in on Friday's in the winter. At least I can blame my failures to being smashed.

In other news, I got myself a brand spanking new PC and a 19 inch monitor (which goes a long way when checking out hi-res photos of Jessica Alba playing video games with hip hop brothas) to keep myself busy with for the next few months.

For those in the crowd who like to be updated on NEW music check out this roundup on the best MP3 blogs in the blogosphere. -via whatevs.

Speaking of music, I must say that I HIGHLY RECOMEND "Apologies To Queen Mary" by WOLF PARADE. I feel so strongly about this I give you a FTIT first...an MP3 for you to download:

Shine A Light - Wolf Parade - Great Song

Actually while we are talking music, check out this whole post at Brooklyn Vegan about who will be the next Arcade Fire. If you don't know who Arcade Fire is then I suppose you didn't make to this point in this post.

Quit While You Are Ahead

Would be good advice right now for me to take. A second straight 4-0 week ramps up our season record to 14-9 (that's 56% and that is very good). That said, this week looks brutal and we have to enter our picks early. I hate these games, so we are just going with three:

SEATTLE -3 over dallas
pittsburgh +1 over CINCY
NYG -2 over denver

Party Of Five - holy mackarel. Hey, two thumbs up to you too Willard Scott!

Irish Magic?

I'm glad to see someone here is keeping track of their wagers for the season. We do it for the juice baby!!! Anyway, I have not been keeping such strict track of my weekly wagers as Bona Friar the Greek, but I am just about even for the year in the NFL and up just a little bit up for the year in College. All wagers are made for entertainment purposes. Anyway, I will take the Fighting Irish at home +12 against the Trojans. Believe in Irish Magic. I will also jump on the Penn State bandwagon they are +3.5 at Michigan. I am even thinking about being REALLY crazy and taking the Bills -3.5 against the sucky Jets. Believe in Kelly Holcomb because former SI Swimsuit Fresh Face Winner Michelle Lombardo does (or doesn't).

While the Iron Is Hot

I will be striking. Wise guys say to bet big when you are winning, bet small when you are losing (I think). That said, we are betting big this week. Coming off a 4-0 week we are now 10-9 on the year. Take that Vegas. In any event, and with little fanfare, here are this week's losers:

carolina +1 over DETROIT
cincy -3 over TENNESSEE
nygiants +3 1/2 over DALLAS
INDY -13 1/2 over st louis (I play Indy every week, over the course of 16 games they are bound to win ATS 9 times - that means you make $$).

Lets not forget the sexy Megan Fox in FHM, and, of course, the sexy Dick Enberg.

Good luck.

Overtime Shootouts = FUN

I just finished watching the Sabres win their first ever overtime shootout tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. VERY VERY VERY ENTERTAINING. For those who don't like the shootout rule, well you can bite me. SHOOTOUTS ARE AWESOME. Ok, enough with the caps and bold. And more on the shootout. Danny Briere made a sweet ass move for the first goal, Ryan Miller (who stood on his head the entire game) stoned Martin St. Louis, Tim Connelly and Brad Richards flubbed their chances, and Thomas Vanek (who will be the rookie of the year, sorry Sidney Crosby) ended it with a rather ungraceful move that just trickled in. Hockey is back and the Slabres are 4-1(!!!!!), LETS GO BUFF-ALO.

Actually LETS move onto the really important stuff like pictures of our favorite "Screen Goddess".

Oktoberfest

A 2-1 week inched us closer to the .500 mark which now stands at 6-9 on the year. Sexy numbers when they're that close. I am dishing out four games this week, I would advise that you view them for entertainment purposes only.

indianapolis -14 over SAN FRAN
DALLAS +3 1/2 over philly
new england +3 over ATLANTA
pittsburgh +3 over SAN DIEGO.

Wow. new england and pittsburgh both getting points - one of them should cover. Then again, I know nothing.

Next Sat, October 15, 2005 is the USC/Notre Dame game - the first of 5 home games in a row for ND...might want to watch that game.

Good luck Sunday. If you lose, hopefully you can find some pleasure in these sexy pictures of Amy Smart, and, of course, Leo Mazzone.

Irish Curse is Broken

Irish Curse owner Lando (on the right) and former "roommate" sporting some sweet pink ties

So in the past week we've had:

Also, you must check out this well crafted advertisement. Flat Bottom Panty. I have watched this 8 times and counting. (via goldenfiddle)

I do think the Sabres will be very good this year. If the NHL sticks to the new rules, and there are over 20 penalties called in a game because of hooking and grabbing etc., I think this team, which is mostly together from the past year - unlike most teams in the league - could do some serious damage. Stay tuned...

The Quarter Pole

Week three saw us go 1-2 on Sunday dragging our season record down to 4-8. There's a hole in the bucket, dear Bonafriar, dear Bonafriar. Without further ado (or much thought), here are our best bets this week:

indianapolis -7 over TENNESSEE
TB -61/2 over detroit
NYG -3 over st louis

It would be nice to break .500 one of these weeks. Whatever. Watching my fantasy baseball team crumble in the waning weeks of the season has not helped my wagering mood. If we can't give you winners, hopefully we can bring you joy with these sexy pictures of Jessica Biel and, of course, Jim Nantz.
